The SKINDOME Method: How We Work

At SKINDOME BEAUTY, our approach to aesthetic skin care and treatments is rooted in respect for the skin's physiology. We believe that truly effective skin care begins with understanding the skin itself.

Have you ever felt that your skin is unpredictable? It may seem that way, but there is always more to the story. The skin is an extraordinarily complex and highly specialised organ. It is our first line of defence and the primary interface between ourselves and the outside world. It lives, adapts and changes with us. We now understand that our skin also plays a part in how we feel, interact with others and present ourselves to the world. Understanding how it functions is the first step towards caring for it effectively and responsibly.

We understand that we treat people, not symptoms, and that skin care is about far more than appearance. Feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin is invaluable. That is why every approach we take is personal.

Our aim goes beyond beautifying. We want to help our clients rediscover a sense of wellbeing and enjoy their skin at its best, naturally and sustainably.

Aesthetic Skin Assessment + Skin Coaching®

At the heart of our approach is our own Aesthetic Skin Assessment + Skin Coaching® method, developed to give clients essential insights into their skin and the skincare choices that matter.

This assessment enables us to personalise professional treatments and ongoing home care with precision and consistency, working with the skin while respecting its natural rhythms, history and individual characteristics.

Corneotherapy

We follow the principles of Corneotherapy, a science-based approach to supporting healthy, resilient skin, and are an officially affiliated centre of the International Association for Applied Corneotherapy.

Professional Selection

We work with scientifically advanced professional skincare brands recognised for their rigorous international standards and commitment to skin health: DERMAVIDUALS® (Germany) and MEDER® by Dr Tiina Meder (Switzerland).

We combine specialised manual techniques with advanced technologies, selected thoughtfully and responsibly.

We welcome all skin types, with particular expertise in sensitive, reactive or imbalanced skin, as well as the prevention of premature skin ageing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know which treatment to book?

No. If you're unsure which treatment would be most suitable for your skin, you can book an Aesthetic Skin Assessment + Skin Coaching®. We'll assess your skin individually and develop a treatment plan tailored to its needs.

Is the Aesthetic Skin Assessment + Skin Coaching® a medical diagnosis?

No. It is a professional aesthetic skin assessment designed to help us understand your skin's current condition, needs and cosmetic goals. It does not replace medical diagnosis, treatment or follow-up care provided by a doctor or dermatologist.

How should I prepare for my first visit?

If you've booked an Aesthetic Skin Assessment + Skin Coaching®, we recommend arriving without make-up, or removing it when you arrive. Wherever possible, avoid applying skincare products for two hours before your appointment to allow for a more accurate assessment.

How long does the first appointment take?

This depends on the service you've booked.

Our Aesthetic Skin Assessment + Skin Coaching® includes a detailed skin assessment, a review of your skincare habits and personalised recommendations. Dedicated appointment time allows us to explore everything thoroughly and without rushing.

Can I visit if I have very sensitive skin or rosacea?

Yes. We work with all skin types, paying particular attention to sensitive, reactive and imbalanced skin. Every treatment is adapted to your skin's current condition and individual needs.

Will I need to buy skincare products from you?

No. Home-care recommendations are always personalised and made only when they can offer a genuine benefit to your skin. Our aim is for every client to use only what their skin truly needs.

Do you offer treatments for men?

Absolutely. Our treatments are suitable for anyone who wants to improve the condition and appearance of their skin through an individualised, physiology-led approach.

Can I book a treatment directly?

Yes. Many of our treatments can be booked directly. If, during your visit, we feel that another approach would better suit your skin, we'll explain our recommendation and agree on any adjustments with you.

Do all your facial treatments include extractions?

No. Extractions are performed only when necessary and when the skin's condition allows. Our priority is always to preserve the integrity and balance of the skin barrier.

Will I see immediate results?

Some clients notice improvements after their first session, while other goals require a more gradual approach, supported by appropriate home care. Results depend on your skin's initial condition, individual response and treatment objectives.

Why do you talk about skin health if you're an aesthetic skincare studio?

Because we believe there is a vast space between aesthetic treatments and dermatological care: the space occupied by skin that isn't necessarily diseased, yet doesn't always feel or function quite as it should.

Everyday discomfort, changes, concerns and questions may not always require medical intervention, but they deserve more than a generic skincare recommendation.

That is precisely where Skindome works.

We do not claim any of our services to be an alternative to dermatology, nor do we offer or claim to replace medical diagnosis when it is needed. We encourage our clients with medical skin conditions to always visit their doctor first.

Our role is to observe, understand and care for the skin through a physiology-led aesthetic approach, bringing professional judgement, individual attention and genuine respect for how the skin functions.

Because to us, caring for the skin also means respecting the way it works.
